Pierre Rodrigue 27 cm CPM D2 Wa-sujihiki

Pierre's latest work.

It's a 27 cm wa-sujihiki in 3/32" CPM D2 (powder metallurgy version, so finer grain size) at HRC 61-62. Handrubbed to 1000 grit.

Rounded spine and choil, full distal taper, slight convex grind.

G10 ferrule, white vulcanized fiber / stainless spacers, mammoth spacer, stabilized Masur birch burl handle, G10 end cap, with white vulcanized fiber / stainless spacers. Mosaic pin in buttcap.

Balance point at front of handle.

Handle by Greg Crowton (Fish) of Hawaiian koa and buffalo horn ferrule with nickel silver spacer and endcap.
